It is official : 5,39 million euro for Sidaction

The edition 2008 of Sidaction had allowed to collect on Sunday evening 5,39 million euro of promises of gifts, is a little less than last year at the same moment. A beautiful sum which will finance for half the search and for the other half the prevention and the help to the patients.

Still at least 7000 persons in France contaminated by the virus of the AIDS in 2007, and those who fight against this plague need means always more important: that is why Sidaction, led drum beating by Line Renaud, is precious in the fight against the HIV.The edition 2008, which was held this weekend, will have allowed to collect 5,39 million euro and those who have regrets can again participate by making 110, by sending the word "DON" by SMS to 33 000 or by donating by bank card on the site of Sidaction ( http://www.sidaction.org/ ).

The organizers remind that the AIDS is always a fatal disease: " treatments allow to live better and to lengthen the life but they do not allow to cure. And we often die from diseases associated with the AIDS, such as the cancer of skin, the brain, neurological or cardiovascular diseases ", explains the general manager of the association Bertrand Audouin.
